There are 2 paths. The path I am looking to show you is one that embodies all of you, values your health and success. The path I have to show you knows growth, success, health and vision are matched and elevated in the heart, mind and body through your thoughts, feelings, emotions and presence.

To be 43 years old and playing in peak performance shows what’s possible for any age with a plan that supports you physically mentally and emotionally.   Trust me, there’s a lot which goes into it, beyond the field.

Optimal Performance takes the inner workings of you and organizes and structures your health, nutrition, fitness, mindset and lifestyle. This is not a gym, or personal training. A gym is a place you pay to rent and a personal trainer gives you exercises, spots and counts. A coach sees your potential, guides and coaches you to excellence.  Their philosophy and skills bring more to you than just the physical.

When you decide your health and performance is a priority, take the steps to get involved in the right programs. You’re going to need to structure your day. You’ll need the right support systems. You’ll need to know where your fine line is….between anabolic and catabolic (that’s building and breakdown). With too much you’ll break down more than you’re building or stagnate your progress.

Your health and well-being, your performance is more feelings, emotions and mindset. Being present in your workouts. Being present in your mindset. Plus, your body’s function and production of hormones and neurotransmitters.

Here are 3 steps to focus on your health today;

  1. Start your day with movement.  Fitness, from weight training, yoga, running, cycling, are great ways to start your day with a practice and healthy habits.
  1. Include mindset. Keep your head clean, clear and focused on your vision and goals. This comes from affirmations, reading, writing, visualization, and practicing in your new level of focus and who you are becoming. 
  1. Clean eating and vitamins. Foods rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins.  Eating a plate of colorful foods, vitamins to support oxidative stress, enzymes to digest foods, probiotics to keep up with good bacteria, Zinc for health, and a personalized  vitamin protocol for your own health.

Optimal Performance keeps you working at your potential and allows you to grow and gain strength internally and externally.  You’re never to old, it’s never to late.

This year has been interesting…

For some we see opportunity, growth and neccessary changes.

For others the changes have been traumatic and life changing in a way you’re unclear on how to make changes. Everything falling apart at once.

Paying attention to your health is actually an important value system now. More than ever.

Your health gives you physical, mental and emotional strength.

Focus, discipline, consistency, resiliency are KPI’s for well-being your overall health. You see you live, work, play, relate to others because of how you are. The way you act, feel and do.

When you act, feel and do from places of focus, discipline, consistency and resiliency you are giving yourself permission and opportunity to grow and thrive.

When you can put habits and actions in place for you health to strength you, you set yourself up for more, something greater. You get to a place where you’re adding to your life by being healthy.

When everything falls apart at once it is essential you focus your energy on what you can control, build and lean on. You must start with one thing, work consistently and diligently. Your health is the best place to begin as it builds all of your inner strength and outer strength.

Focus is the ability to put attention and energy on something specific. Why not health.

Discipline is the ability to carry out tasks and habits on a regular schedule and effort. Why not health

Consistency is the ability to show up, act and apply with the same level of intensity and application each and every day. Why not health

Resiliency is the ability to bounce back from set backs through actions, habits, mindset and response to become stronger. Why not health.

I named this post the future of wellness. Former generations didn’t place much effort or emphasize on their health and well being. Work, providing for their families took a top priority and that was how many spent their time and energy. Now, with so many options for support, knowledge and information for wellness and how it impacts every area of your life, making it the center of your overall living brings order and structure into your daily habits and routines.

Taking full responsibility for your wellness brings you the opportunity to set the course of your future with how you spend your time. Having optimal health from clean nutrition, exercise and mindfulness today brings you energy, vitality and less stress. This leads to good decision making, ability to know where your priorities are and act without hesitation. You can separate work from family time without pressure, guilt or a need to get things done.
